Black Label - Grit - Worsted Weight Yarn

It's not a job. It is a calling to make a difference. If it looks like work and it smells like work and it causes blisters bruises and calluses...
It's going to take some GRIT.
We know a bit about this.
We're a baaad ass farmHER owned company. Lead by a woman who has her fair share of GRIT. Rugged, rough around the edges and dedicated to the cause. Our dye team is full of GRIT, lifting a 60 pound bundle of wet yarn that they dyed outside in the winter? No bigs. Chasing after runaway cattle, everyone jumping to the cause. Pulling a lamb that's stuck in the birth canal, who arrived two weeks early at 3am? Grit.
GRIT came about because our MidWest mill is the primary manufacturer of wool goods for the US military. When they mis-spun a huge batch and called to see if we could do something to keep it out of the landfill, we knew exactly what to do. We re-plied it into a four ply worsted. We wouldn't call it super soft, but then our bar for that is pretty high. It's a workhorse, just like our fearless leadHER and every soul that slings hay on this farm.
And so we bring it to Ewe, and a heck of a deal.
Never Superwash, as close to mother earth as intended.
Our GRIT Yarn is blended Midwest Wool.

And another thing? We donate a portion of GRIT sales to the Gary Sinise foundation, to house veterans. It's the least we can all do.
One Skein provides 16.7 bales of hay for the flock. (Our critters consume 14 bales of locally grown hay per day from October - May when our pastures are resting. Your support puts hay in the barn and employs both the Mitchell team and the local hay grower.)
