WOOL WASH
We go through gallons upon gallons of wool wash in our dye kitchen, washing the 8,000 pounds of yarn per year that we produce. Each skein is washed 2-5 times, depending on which plant-based color Cindy is creating. Because we’re a closed loop system, that water is returned directly back to our farm land. We only want clean ingredients in our soil.
So we formulated our own wool wash using natural Castille soap, derived from Olives, coconut oil, and lanolin. You can see the natural milky cleansing properties as the plant oils separate between uses. A quick shake blends it back together and it’s ready to use on your silky underthings or newly finished hand-mades. No rinse needed.
We make right here on the Mitchell family farm.
farmHER is The scent our founder Sherry, has been wearing for a decade. It’s a bit spicy, a little sassy, and very earthy. Think of a walk in the woods while sipping an old fashioned. The mossy undertones combine with the acrid spice of bourbon. It’s deliciously masculine and suits her worn red cowboy boots and faded Wranglers perfectly.
Granny Era is all of the charm of your Nan, save for the plastic furniture covers and those oddly fuzzy butterscotches she hands you from the depths of her handbag to shush you up. It’s distinctly floral, combining rosehip oil and geranium.
Tomato 🍅 Vine smells exactly like standing in the garden. A little damp soil under your toes, warm sun on your shoulders where your hat doesn’t cover and a sweating glass of iced sun tea. Tomato worms and weeding not included. It’s gardening without the fuss.
Two sizes - 3.45oz will wash 6 sweaters & 8oz will care for 16 sweaters. The small is a glass bottle with screw lid and the 8oz is a plastic bottle with pump top. Two pumps for a sweater is the perfect amount. Because there are no yucky additives, this is not an overly sudsy wash. Rest assured your garment is gently cleansed and restored with a bit of lanolin added.
